Caller: Scammer posing as "Prospect Direct" (a company in Texas, USA)

The caller claimed to be from Foxtel and explained that this was a customer satisfaction survey. However, her questions were phrased in a way to prompt the answer "yes" several times and she ended the call without asking any meaningful questions whatsoever. Sadly, I did say "yes" in reply to her questions. I believe this was part of an attempt at a "replay attack". (Search it on Google.) The idea of this fraud is to collect personal details of the target and then capture a voice recording of the target saying "yes", which can be replayed to credit providers as authorisation for a transaction. I called the number back and it is only answered by a voice message claiming to be from "Prospect Direct". A Google search reveals no such company in Australia, although there is a company by this name in Texas, USA. I am now waiting to see whether unauthorised transactions appear on my credit card, or if someone tries to port my phone or raid my bank accounts.

Caller: Called themselves Wendy

Someone called. Claimed to be Wendy from CCI at first. Referred to me by a name. She said she got my details from "online competitions". She wanted to do a "lifestyle survey". I asked what the purpose was. Caller provided vague answers at first. I said that I think the call is fraudulent. She denied this. I said "so you want me to do a survey but you can't tell me who for, what the purpose is, where you are calling from, and you think that isn't suspicious?". She then said she was Prospect Direct who were doing surveys for Foxtel. I then reminded her that she said she was from CCI. She said that is the call center. I believe this phone call to be suspicious at worst (and annoying at best). I have no relationship with Foxtel.

Received a call from this number and a lady named Kimberly introduced herself and asked if I am interested to do a survey. She sounded polite but I wasn't going to waste my time so I said Im not interested or anything that she is trying to sell. Surprisingly she said that's OK and bid me a good day.

I wonder does this caller read these pages. They are annoying, a pain in the rear end, by now they should realise no one in their right mind is going to listen to them. Maybe they are trying to find someone who is not in their right mind, but had a lot of money to share.
How do we get rid of these nuisances?

I keep getting calls from random numbers and msgs saying it’s prospect direct. I have blocked most numbers but they keep getting through on other numbers. I am lucky that I never answer my phone.

I work for the company Prospect Direct in Texas. I can assure you this is NOT us! We are a legitimate company in the US and have gotten messages and complaints due to some spam harassing caller using this name.

I can assure you our company does no phone solicitation. This is an Australian based phone scamz

Caller: They said they were from Prospect Direct

I have received four phone calls in less than 48 hrs. Each time a message was left for their “valued customer” which I’m not!, and that they will contact me again at a later date and time. I don’t have Foxtel or anything to do with Prospect Direct but still I get calls. And the messages left imply that I’m to answer their next call!
