My computer tells me this number is registered to a business in Imphal India.I find most nuisance calls originate in India but register as appearing to be an Australian number. Come in waves - one day had 12. Most of them started 028xxxxxxx.

Getting sick of these almost daily calls from numbers such as:
(03) 8595 9810;
(03) 9021 6951;
(08) 9535 1416;
0478 024 161;
(08) 7132 5663;
(02) 6188 5495 (multiple calls);

Said they were working for a charity wanting donations for Victims of Domestic Violence.
Said I did not have time but would look into the charity, would not/could not give me details of the charity, but wanted a $300 donation.
I told them I would donate through a legitimate website/organisation if they could give me one, but did not.
When I said I was working and now did not suit me, she said she had to go.
Not a legit call by the sounds of it.

I am on a Do Not Call List.. Doesn't seem to help

this number called many times, when I picked up, no one answered.

Female caller at 4.41pm identified as "Your Community". Claimed to be a "not for profit" organisation. Asked for $100 donation "for children living in poverty in Australia" but was unaware of a big article on this subject in October 2019 "Big Issue". Does not have an on-line contact. She disconnected when pressed for more information.

I don't know why either the Victorian or Commonwealth Government or the telcos can't shut these nuisance callers down. They are parasites.
Being on the Do Not Call Register doesn't seem to make any difference.

Called me early on Saturday morning didn't answer but called back to hear recorded message that this number was no longer in service etc etc I've blocked this number after reading all these helpful comments

If you're on the do not call regester bad luck we still get them the only way to get them not to call I've got are reffs wisle I answer then the wisle burst ear drumbs

I let it ring out. I never called. They didn’t leave a message. A number from Melbourne, Victoria was all I got. I’m glad I came here first before doing anything about this number. I’m on a do not call register I still get these calls

unsolicited hang up message, so I blocked it. Getting more of these of late, so I block any number that I don't recognise!

I got phone call from this number as well I have been getting them alot most are private I don't answer I rang this number back got message number not in service it was American accent

Calls everyday between 5:30 and 8pm. Leaves silent voicemails, says the number isn’t connected when you call it back. Have blocked this number and multiple others and they keep switching numbers

Received a call from this number today. Said it was a survey regarding Charities in Australia but after reeling off all the privacy details, first question was how do I pronounce my name. No way! Definite scam to try and get voice recordings.

Didn't speak - hung up.
No wonder land-line services are being cancelled in their thousands.
