Caller: Commonwealth Bank

Commonwealth bank automated service for credit card payments that are overdue. Just check your com bank app and see if you have any payments due.

Automated call saying it was the Commonwealth Bank and not a marketing call. It had my full name and wanted me to confirm my identity by answering some questions. Asked me to enter my DOB first. I hung up at that point.

Guy claimed he was from Commbank, I gave fake information. He did not sound professional at all and said his name was Naz. “Couldn’t find me” using the fake information I provided so he said he didn’t know what department he was calling from (“It could be anything”) and told me to go into the bank.

100% a scam

Automatic recording asking to press 1 to continue, I know this isn't CommBank because I've had calls from them in the past about my personal loan account and it's always been a person talking upon picking up the phone and you gotta verify the phone call is real they send you on the CommBank app before any discussion, I just hang up don't bother would never trust a call from a automatic recording. Plus it came up on my phone as spam call and I'm pretty sure CommBank is listed as private number when they call you.

Claiming to be commbank, but can’t explain why they’re calling

Automated system purporting to be CBA (even my phone said it was) but when it asked for me to input my birth date I hung up.

CBA confirmed it was a scam call.

I agree, it has scam written all over it.
If it really is from the bank, it is a very poor communication method. Anyone cold calling and then asking us to prove our identity has a problem.

Called me in the early morning claimed to be taxation office but I’m 100% sure its scam it happens alot specially now a days in Australia but the caller accent is Indian. Trying to call back he refuse to answer. Every one should be aware of such stupid things happening
