They call me as well about NBN connection and some office in Williamstown that we never had. Not sure what this is about but sounds dodgy!

Claim they're calling on behalf of Telstra Business but a check with Telstra reveals this is not the case.

I had this exact call today.
I searched the number and found your notes.
I don't even have ADSL at the address they phoned LOL so switching may be difficult.
I will just ignore this number.

I think I've finally got to the bottom of what I thought was a scam but is probably somewhere in the "dodgy sales practices" rather than a real scam. The caller states very clearly their name "calling on behalf of Telstra Business" then quickly "for Connecttel". Connecttel is a legitimate business but it seems their new branch has adopted these "special" practices even going so far as sending an appointment via email, rather than your typical email and with a telstra.appointment @ connecttel.com.au sender address. Frustrated it has cost me so much time and anxiety, so if you hear from them, let them know I said I think their sales practices are dodgy and this is the reason you won't be dealing with them now or in the future. They called me and I let it ring out. Three seconds later it looks like they tried again from a private number.
