Caller: Telemarketer I am so sick of these calls that I tried to ring Next Step Australia fundraising centre to tell them that the daily calls had to stop - on checking their website I found quite amusingly that they do not list their own phone number - how ironic! Nevertheless I sent them an email so although the possibility of them stopping the calls is highly unlikely at least it gave me an avenue to vent my annoyance.

The legitimate Next Steps Australia are aware of this scam. They do not solicit funds or donations via calls and emails. These scammers call multiple times a day.

Caller: Charity Agency Rang at summertime 7.20pm as I was serving dinner for my family. Very long spiel without even a gap (obviously from a script) to let me break in and say whoa. She was asking for money to assist people during times of family violence. I'd pay directly by preference, but not to a commissioned agency with overheads bleeding the needy.
