Really sick of scammers to try to scam people using name of a legitimate charity for Domestic Violence - "Next Steps Australia" - lady on the phone (from call centre), after a few minutes delay (sounded like robocall) was way too cheery for such a horrible issue in society

Claimed to be "Next Steps Australia", a domestic violence charity. Sounds pre-recorded but engaged enough with my conversation that it must be a human. A bit pushy with the sales pitch and demand for a "pledge" even if you offer to donate online, and was quite abrupt with the hang-up at the end when I refused to provide pledge details over the phone.

Pre-recorded message that sounds very life-like of a woman asking for donations. They are claiming to be Next Step - a legit charity that supports victims of domestic violence - however if you google the charity the actual website has a phone scam alert. They are asking for bank account details for a “one off” donation - claiming that they only need three people to pledge and you are the third. Absolutely disgraceful, but scarily sophisticated.

Caller: Next Steps I'm pretty sure its a robot - would respond to key words such as when I indicated that I had found their "website" and was reviewing, robot proceeded to reel off the address. II clarified that I was at their website but it feel on deaf mechanical ears - she proceeded to read the address twice. Quite errie though how human the interaction was.

Woman asked to speak to my husband I told her you can if you go and visit his grave and I slammed the phone down. How come she had my husbands name when it’s coming up to 8 years since he passed away.

Every couple of days this number calls, we leave it to the answering machine. Every time it's a lady saying "Hello? Hello? Can you hear me?"
