Caller hangs up without saying anything.

When an incoming call hangs up, or leaves no message when unanswered, it is likely to be a computer running telemarketing software. All it is trying to do is to compile a list of valid, attended numbers indexed by time of day. This list can then be used by human callers, or on-sold to other agencies, to improve the hit rate on their calls. Great shame this technique is used by charities, as it tarnishes their good works.

Called as Deakin alumni, looking for charitable donations for grant for students affected by hardship... also had my email and knew my graduation year

Have been receiving calls regularly for about 2 weeks , sometimes the last 2 didgets will be different; havn't answered any of them, hoping they will stop but it hasn't

Calls landline almost same time everyday-I don't answer.Been ongoing for weeks

Rang yesterday and again today (Thursday 29 September 2022)

SPAM - Received call at 3:48pm on Tuesday 27 September 2022.
Did not answer.

This number calls me or my partner 3 or 4 times a day claiming to represent Deakin University Alumni - I seriously doubt that. I have alerted Deakin to this pest now

So they have a do not call register. Only trouble is you have to supply them with more details - email etc.
