Had a call from this number on a Saturday, didn't answer

Caller: Vic Energy program

Supposedly wanted to change my shower heads to efficient ones.

They knew my name, thinking I answered but it sounded like a call centre potentially overseas.

Telstra can't do nothing about i, these people using what is call " burn phone;'' form Asia and America , use them and later disposed them

Caller: Indian woman

Asked them to wait while I checked the number on the internet. Told the caller that they were a scammer. Caller said they were calling regarding government subsidized exhaust fan initiative. I said I wasn't interested, but that means nothing to a scammer. I said you are after my details. She said, I already have your details and need to confirm. I said I already know who I am and I don't understand why you want to continue when clearly I'm not interested in what you are peddling. She hung up.

Called and left a message on my answering machine saying "I want you so much" block this number immediately

They hung up and didn't leave a message. It was flagged as potential spam by my phone's security software. So I have blocked the number. Thank you to others for their helpful comments here too.

Didn't pick up, no message left, checked this site and saw it had many complaints. Deleted and blocked.

received call from (03) 8580 9296 on 8/8/2023 no message left. My smartphone showed as SUSPECTED SCAM.

They just keep calling tried calling back with another phone just engaged. Scams pissing me off

Answered the call .. they said Anon? So they knew my name I just hung up and will block

All they did was breathe into phone. Never said a word.

left a message, said hello and there was just office chatter in background. Spam - number blocked.

Rang twice then hung up. I didn't pick up the call. Assumed it was yet another scammer.
