Suspected spam call

They knew my name and my phone number. I asked how they got this personally-identifiable information and the answer was "we work for the Australian government". I asked four times for the name of the company and was told "It is the Global Services". They refused to tell me ABN or ACN. I was told "you must be aware of the energy saving government and we can give you up to $4000". I said "you must be aware of the Australian Privacy Principles: please tell me under exactly what circumstances you have been provided with my personally-identifiable information". The answer I got was "Yes" and the call was disconnected.

They have multiple numbers call me everyday. Endless call twice a day for 2 years from this company.

I get multiple calls every day from people with Indian accents about energy or internet. I am supposedly on the “do not call” register, but it makes no difference. I am thinking about changing my phone number. I have a secret language which I may answer with next time - then maybe they’ll stop!

One of those energy saving schemes claiming to be from Australia government. They know your name. Asking me about my gas/ electricity hot water system that I will be eligible for an upgrade.
I told them I already got a new one, no thank you and she said ok n hang up lol

Absolutely infuriating. These maggots are relentless & how the hell can we stop these pests. I feel BEYOND HARASSED! As soon as you block them they call on another number. I'm so fed up with it. I've had 8 of these calls today within 4hrs! OOOOOOOOVER it!

Caller: Energy saving scam

Another one of those free energy saving devices scam calls. I'm getting these calls multiple times every day, and every time I block them, they get through using a different number. Whenever I answer, they ask for someone else, the same name every time, and it can't be a previous owner of my number, as I've had this number for many years. I tell them that I'm on the Do Not Call Register, and I I ask them to stop calling me, sometimes they say they will put me on their do not call register, but that never happens. I've asked why they ignore the Do Not Call Register, and one common reason they come up with is that they are not selling anything, that the service is free, and a government initiative. The majority of the calls are males with an Indian accent. When I don't answer, they sometimes leave a message, but don't say anything, and I can hear the background noise, which is clearly a call centre. I highly doubt that these idiots are doing this for nothing, considering the amount of calls I get, and how pushy they are, and these Indians don't do anything for free.
I have to answer calls, as I'm getting complaints from people I need to talk to, saying that they've been trying to call me, but I never answer, and most of the calls I'm missing are very important. I just wish I could find a way to make these calls stop, but so far I've had no success trying to find out how to stop them. I used to be able to block calls using the settings where the calls are answered, and hung up straight away, but Google have taken that ability away, so now the best I can do is reject the calls, which means they can still leave voice mail.

Has called multiple times although i have blocked this number I'm not sure how but the calls still come through - I WOULD AVOID ANSWERING CALLS from this number!!!

Rings once. Hangs up. Never leaves a message. Tried to call them back and always get a busy tone.

These pests have been calling (along with other ‘Melbourne’ numbers) for a few days now, they’re definitely scam calls. Blocked!!

Caller: Call centre about some energy plan in my area

Called me at 7.30pm How rude. Couldn't quite understand her very thick Indian accent. Somèthing about being in my area the next day about some energy plan/installation. Very obviously a scam call from a call centre in India. I hung up and blocked the number

Answered and they hung up..

I am just so fed up with these scammer calls!!!! Have blocked 7 different numbers so far today, including this one!!!
