called my mobile 3 times in about 2 minutes I answered the 3rd time and was robot saying this is a survey about australin politics so I hung up

Called number back and got a message saying it was from Community Engagement Automated Surveys.

Opinion and Market Survey companies are exempt from the Do Not Call Register. So are charities and political parties. The Register is not worth the effort.

I answered and there was a silence and then beeping like the end of a messagebank service. Very annoying

Caller left no message When called back kept being put on hold. A waste of time.

Automated robot calling started phoning my mobile which I can block but they use similar numbers and call back, now they are ringing home phone, annoying to say the least

Just got a call from this number and my phone said it was possible scam, so I checked it here. I will be blocking this number on my phone. Thanks for this info! I am on the Do Not Call register, which, over the years, has been a hopeless waste of my time.

Received 2 calls within two minutes.
No voice mail left.

This one is now calling me a couple of times every week. Surely they can be made to stop somehow.

So over these intrusive calls. Surely the Government can put a stop to these. It's about time we spoke up and said enough is enough.

What can be done about this - no introduction, no explanation about what the source of the permission was... creepy.

On Do Not Call register, silent number on landline and rarely use my mobile, but this crowd called me today on the mobile. Didn't leave a message. Thanks again to information here I've now blocked them. Probably/certainly a lost cause but I have written to Telstra again recently with a list of Australian nuisance caller numbers to both my landline and mobile. Why can't they be followed up and/or blocked at source by the provider?
