Caller with an American accent asked for a staff member by name. I asked what the call was concerning. Caller said he was from a SMS Messaging Service and would like to put forward their business platform to assist our company. Told him the person he had asked for was not involved in that side of the business, he asked for the name of the person who was incharge and I gave him a generic email address to direct his information. Thank you to the other contributors on Reverse Australia for their input.

Feel free to send all hate mail directly to them. They will have a cold call list and or you may have given them your number from an in shopping center canvas campaign or somesuch.

Took your advice and didn't answer it! I never my phone anymore. If a caller is legitimate than they will leave a message. If I know them I will make a call back. Isn't it a pity that my friends have to wait till I call them. Thank goodness for email. I much prefer email. Every email I do not recognise is marked immediately as SPAM. It is how I survive these days. What a terrible world we live in where others think it is okay to harass their way into our personal lives.

Caller with an American accent, pleasant and nice, said she was working for the government and would like to replace my replace my hot water system free of charge. I let her know it wasn't my decision, it's the Landlords and then asked for their number...said I'm not giving it to her lol. And she thanked for my time and we said goodbye.

Person called today from a state govt agency (supposedly) about replacing electric hot water systems. I could hardly understand her, her accent was very strong. She caught me on a bad day & I yelled at her not to call again!

again, called me and ask for Mr Morgan who doesn't appear at all in our business, and asking for name who in charge, so annoying.

We just got a call from this number, they claimed to be from Burst SMS.

They asked for someone that doesn't work here. Reception took the number and reported it to me (IT department).

We keep getting calls from this number too - they call late in the evening and early morning. So glad I checked this page out.

Phoned our office claiming to be from 'the SMS messaging service' so they make it sound like we have an account with them. Wanted to speak to the wrong person, had googled the sales manager name, not marketing or business manager. Laughed at me when i refused to tell them my role within business. We don't have an account with them and they are very pushy.
