After hearing nothing from this number for months, it's just started ringing again. I have it saved in my contacts now as DO NOT ANSWER, CHARITY SCAM and I just let it go to voicemail. They never leave a msg, btw.

A friend of mine who had a brief job as a telemarketer gave me the following advice - The next time you receive one of these types of calls - ie, when no-one speaks/responds when you answer the phone - prior to their disconnecting, press the hash button on your phone up and down several times and continuously until you hear a long beeping sound. This deletes your number from their calling list. I have found it works.

I usually string them along for 5 minutes or so and then ask them if I have waisted enough of there time yet ?Some of these curry munchers take a while to catch on

Unsolicited call. Hung up. I called back and received automated message that they cannot take call and I'm welcome to donate to their charity. Have set up auto-reject for this number (03) 8414 5608

I have received this call a number of times and not answered, I called it back and it was an automated message service saying they are unable to take my call. I have set up the number as reject when they call (03) 8414 5608

Wait for the automated "click" and the background noise and answer
"Victoria police, how can I help you?"
Instant hang up

I missed a call on my mobile this afternoon, number was unfamiliar but returned the call out of politeness but says "Disconnected" WT?!
Have now saved in my phone as "Do Not Answer"

Recieved call and no message left.

Rang once, didn't answer it. Rang the number back and it was a fundraiser, have blocked it on my phone.

Bunch of parasites called Communication Direct Pty from Collingwood, Melbourne, calling on behalf of the Olivia Newton John cancer centre. Reverse Australia needs a category for these cretins. Their calling 'on behalf of' a non-profit but they certainly aren't non-profit organisations themselves!

I bought tickets a while ago. Now I keep getting calls. Rings 3 times and stops.
