Did not answer because my number hasn't been used for anything or out anywhere online. So definitely had to be a scam and they rang at 8:30pm

Caller: National Hearing Centre now Amplifon Ring occasionally but I have not answered for a while. First call last year resulted in me making appointment for free hearing test. Now proud owner of hearing aids that have improved my hearing immensely. Not in need of hearing test now though. Unsure of purpose of call. Maybe I will answer next one to find out.

Called me today, came up as possible fraud, I do not answer unless they are on my call list and there is a clear reason why as 90% of my callers now days are scammers!!!

I waited to hear the voice of the caller and said "Hello". It just closed it without saying a word. What a jerk?

Caller: (03) 8376 1084 Google that name 'National Hearing Centre' and wont be match, appears that the Australia governing body is called 'Hearing Australia' and that phone number (03) 8376 1084 is not listed in any of their contacts. Agree with those that persevere with talking to operators, appears to be a SCAM and the use of the word 'National' in their title only adds to suspicion. All, every now and again take the call, go through the drama of finding out who they really are or claim to represent, research the name and put a comment online so everyone is informed. We need some people to answer the calls and explain to everyone especially the elderly and frail who may not understand that it is a scam

Repeated calls not identifying themselves. Now I know (from other comments) that it’s National Hearing Centre, the next call will be getting my really loud whistle. They will probably need a hearing check after that........

National Hearing Centre called me from this number yesterday. The caller said I was due for a hearing aid checkup as I missed the last appointment. I did not make such an appointment and I have never owned an hearing aid. When I told them this they repeated themselves so I just said "No, I did not make an appointment and I will not be making one as my hearing is fine (as told to me from a proper doctor).
After that the caller asked twice if there was anyone else at home or anyone I knew that was 26 years old or over as they can get a free hearing check too. A few more nos and they gave up.
I've been receiving these calls for around three years after my one and only free checkup. I don't know how these scammers remain legal! Every attempt I've made to remove myself from their calling list has failed.

Missed call and I called back. They are National hearing centre and they are legit. They make appointments as I’ve previously made an appointment through these people. Annoying as I’m capable of making my own appointments.

National Hearing Centre. Calls from this number are automatically diverted to our "Unwanted Caller" answering machine, I hope they enjoyed the chat with it.

Had a call coming through from this number, it went to message service. It came across as if the caller was in a conversation with another person saying "isn't it terrible, imagine not being able to see your parents
