As with other commenters, caller was a computerised voice outlining two credit card charges - potentially fraudulent. Not the banks usual procedure when there's suspected fraudulent credit card activity - to use a stupid arsed computerised voice recording. I hung up quickly.

Caller: A man.

I just received a phone call from this number and they said they were from the Bank and did I just buy something from Ebay with a visa card for $1400.00 and $300.00, I said no I hadn't and haven't bought anything from Ebay. I asked this male who's accent was like he was from Sudan or over there somewhere, where he was calling from, he said London, then he hung up on me straight away, I rang my bank and let them know.

Electronic female voice saying my credit card had fraudulent charges ... I don't think so honey, my bank would contact me personally not via an electronic message!

Caller: said they were Amazon Prime video

A woman said I had a subscription to Amazon Prime Video and that they were going to take money out of my bank account for subscription and to press 1. I did not do that and I was immediately put through to a person who said they were Amazon customer service. They insisted I had a subscription. I said no and hung up.
I have had 3 calls since yesterday and hung up each time. I will block them. SCAM.

I had the same message saying I had 2 suspicious purchases on my credit card. One for $400 to eBay and one for $1,300 for gift card purchases which they thought was suspicious as I hadn't bought gift cards before. Option was the press 1 to allow the transactions to proceed or press 2 to cancel.

Rang twice today, but I don't answer calls from random numbers. Let the answering machine take them. No message left.

An Indian sounding woman. Told me I was eligible for LED downlighting on a government subsidy. I told her I live in a hut and don’t use lights.

Wow! Looking at the reasons for the calls, this number gets a lot of use. Today it was about my Visa card being used to buy products on Ebay and gift cards.....I should press 1 to confirm :)
