SCAM called asking if I was a home owner or renting and wanted to discuss the $5,000 government rebate for Solar Panels. I told him I was busy at work and that I don't own a home etc said he wants the number of the home owner. I told him no I don't believe this is real. Proceeded to ask for details and gave me the company's name as "GEC" asked for the website & he hung up. Block them.

Called me this morning phone rang 3 times then stopped. I came here and seen all the comments and blocked the number.

At first, she is looking for XXX but i said wrong number. Then, she asked whether am i the phone number owner. I said yes. Then, they said they have $5000.00 rebate on the solar for the property owner then i straight away rejected said I am not owning any house as solar been installed by the previous owner. They just hand up. I think its scam.

Knew my name and mentioned about solar, was I the home owner, was I living with a partner!!!!!! Scam artist - BLOCKED!

Called yesterday 17 March, again today.
I called back yesterday and was not able to connect.

They called me three times yesterday and once today. No answer when I rang back. Just blocked it

I blocked the number after receiving a voicemail that sounded like they were talking to me.
"Hi can I speak to *** please? (Pause) Hello? Are you there? Can you hear me?"

After this,they hung up.
Very creepy.

So I finally got a response from these people claiming to be from a solar panel company. I don’t even own solar panels. My parents do but why would they be calling me?

These parasites keep calling, when you block them they change their number a couple of digits then keep calling again.
They should be prosecuted under Australian Federal law for abusive use and misuse of Australian Telecommunication Facilities.

I've gotten about 5 calls from 83757922 today. Missed them all due to work. when I call back, it doesn't even ring.
