Got the same message and rang the ATO about it. Confirmed its definitely a scam. Do not give money.

Looks like they are hitting Queensland now this scam about tax fraud, so people look out

Apparently I am a delinquent tax evader/fraudster and I'm going to be executed...this Melb # showed up on my phone. I haven't bothered to return this scammers call.

I've had four calls so far - I must really be in big trouble. Dodgy *****

Yep, I got the same message on Saturday and again this morning. How ridiculous. I wonder what their purpose is here. The call number needs to be closed down.

I just checked my home phone (I never use it for weeks at a time, so sometimes think to check for messages) & got the same as everyone else. I did laugh, not only due to having an English accent, but in Australia, we have what is called a 'My Gov' account online so all my letters come via that method. I'm also pretty sure that no ATO letters have come in the mail either!!! I copied the number down and then waited until I came online to check this site. I was thinking that perhaps it had a recorded message on the return number that asked questions people would say 'Yes' to and that it would be associated with that type of scam going around? Now that I have read your messages I will report to scamwatch.

Got this massage & said I have arrest warrant .

No idea & trying to call no response at all .

Message from the tax dept and apparently I am delinquent with my tax and all the mail has been returned unopened. There are now federal charges against me.

They were a 'NO ID caller' but left a prerecorded message on my mobile asking me to call this number back to address my tax evasion etc etc Thanks to those people who have already commented on this site.

rec call its a scam they leave a msg saying they are from tax office but are just overseas call center. if you listen to they msg its funny and the English is poor.

Just received a call, stating that incorrect information has bene supplied to taxation office, a warrant has been issued against my name for a arrest, I have not returned signed documents and letters, call the number to resolve this issue immediately etc etc..
returned the call on this number , even-though a realised the number looks suspicious for ATO.. didn't connect!
