This call showed as coming from Melbourne, Vic. When I answered, there were a few seconds of silence, followed by what sounded like background noise of a call centre, then the call dropped out. I suspect it was another scam attempt.

Our number is on the do not call register, they ring to talk about government subsidies to install solar. I would say they have rung a dozen times asking for a different person and when told we aren't them they go into the spiel. I remind them that they have rung and the register. The world seems to be full of these twits who ring your number so they can hang up as soon as the answering machine cuts in. I, for one, am just about fed up to the neck with them!!
