Caller: Scam caller

Scam. Asking about replacing my hot hotter system for $23. Assumed I was in Sydney.

Scam

Probably one of the companies who are ringing to offer replacing things like showerheads, etc. It is a scheme run by the Victorian Government to replace items with more ecofriendly items. They are replacing old style light globes with LED globes, installing covers on air vents from evaporative cooling systems, installing covers on exhaust fans. They are free and professionally installed. I have had them done and have seen a drop in power costs. Worst thing about them is that several companies are doing it and you can get more than 1 call offering them.

Woman with stong accent, asked if I had a hot water system, re Government rebate. Told her this must be a scam as this is my work phone with a private number she hung up.
I was annoyed as the call was extremely early and had woken me after an afternoon shift.
I called back, she thanked me. I asked where her company was located and she hung up. Number blocked.

Caller: Female who spoke English with strong accent

Something to do with Victorian rebates - heard showerhead; she did not know I had moved 4+ years to other side of State. Assume this means they are ringing using outdated information
