Caller: Foxtel Too many paranoid/rude comments here so I'll set the record straight.
It's Foxtel calling. If you're an existing customer they'll ask for your name and dob because they HAVE to verify an account holder before they discuss details with you. The call could be for a promotion or update to your service.
If you're not a Foxtel customer then it is basically a sales call and you can handle that as you wish but don't be rude about it. Person on the other end is just trying to work.
It's not a private caller so disregard those users.

I don't answer calls from non-contacts, too many scammers and junk calls out there. I have voicemail and if they really want to talk to me they can leave a message, which this number does not.

Even told me the call would be recorded.

Caller: Supposedly Foxtel I believe that it was a scammer. They claimed to be from Foxtel. They knew my name which was quite offputting. They were offering an equipment upgrade. They wanted my Mother's Maiden Name and when they kept pushing for an appointment time I said that I had to go and hung up on them. I contacted Foxtel and they had no such record of this person. Scammers are everywhere.

Caller: Foxtel Called my mobile, no message left so I called the number back. Recorded message thanking me for returning their call regarding my current package. Unfortunately no-one in the sales team was available and advised that they may be in touch again in the future! They'd probably get a whole lot further with their sales if they actually left a message and accepted return calls! Geeeeze.

Same as with Anonymous, I got a call, then a voicemail, but it's silence for 23 seconds. So glad I don't answer calls from unknown numbers, or when my phone says they're potential fraud or scam calls.

Caller: (03) 8325 0952 Let the call go through to voicemail, no message left. I looked on here and it seems that it was Foxtel. That reminds me, now that GOT has finished, i may cancel my subscription.

Caller: A male said he was calling from Foxtel This caller told me that unless we updated our Foxtel subscription our current subscription would be terminated soon. He wanted our details. I suggested that if there was going to be a change to our subscription then I wanted it in writing either by email or letter. He said that was not possible so I just put the phone down.
