SHA are a 'For Profit' organisation & they are making a huge amount of money from Australians, for themselves & their investors by making telemarketing fund raising phone calls. They are getting around our Do Not Call register by saying that they are making these calls on behalf of 'Not-For-Profit' organisations such as Leukaemia Australia, several hospitals, Lifeline Australia etc & they also have so many more organisations on their books, it should be a crime. Now a lot of these organisations use Smart Health Australia as their primary income resource, so if you think about the retainers, commissions & even bonuses they receive from each of these organisations, SHA are making a lot of money. For example, when Australia suffered those devastating bushfires, we donated millions & millions of dollars to our charities, but don't forget that SHA has to be paid by each of those organisations first & this makes me wonder... if this was the reason why the donated money wasn't distributed earlier. One last thing, even if you block the number you received the nuisance call from, they will just use another line that they have access to. But their calls will always start with (03) 8202 & then the last 4 numbers change, so they have thousands & thousands of lines to choose from. Personally I have blocked up to around 50 different phone numbers all with the prefix (03) 8202 with a lot more to go it looks like.
