Caller: Amazon order cancellation Your account has made a purchase of $767 from amazon and the order will be despatched tomorrow. Press 1 to cancel the order...
then someone came in, "Jim Adams" Indian guy with put-on Western accent, in a very noisy call centre. Asked, "how can I help you"
...I was in a mood of a long conversation, but did the mistake of saying, "I don't know, you tell me". He tried one last time, "you must have received a message from Amazon - what did the message say?"
...I did the final and fatal mistake: "can't remember!" he fumbled for a couple of seconds, "...let's see" and then he HUNG UP!!!
Not happy at all - well, my wait continues for the next scam caller, in line to waste his time on me :)
