Someone claiming to be from telstra, telling me I had several people using my IP address and was talking me though downloading an app called RVNC Server, putting in their code number, then going through the process of going through my setting to activate an allowance for RVNC to run through my phone?
What is this about???

Caller: Foreigner called Terry Said he was from nbn and my computer needed defragging. He wanted me to download an app called ANYDESK so he could assist me to clean up my files. I didn’t feel comfortable at all about this and his answers to my questions were all over the shop so I terminated the call. Then I looked up RA and I can see Terry has form.

Caller: Never trust an unknown caller Dear Anonymous, Sorry to say your pc may have been remotely accessed by a person with criminal intent. RVNC shares your screen with a second party and could enable them to download your files, settings, keyboard history, banking and passwords. Employers IT departments use RVNC to solve their remote employees PC glitches. A criminal may con an unsuspecting person to download it to install malware on your device. I would seek advice from a trusted IT expert immediately.
