Caller: Don't know, says it's NBN

As per Anonymous above, we get calls daily from this same robo-call scam. Our home area is currently being connected to the NBN so I thought this was genuine at first, but a bit sooner than I was expecting. I put the phone down and did some checking and lo, NBN is still not expected for a few months yet, so definitely this is a scam. My advice, don't press any keys to select an option, don't call back, just put the phone down. The unfortunate thing with the robot calls is I don't even get the joy of telling someone to sod off!

Caller: NBN

This one is quite a doosey. Recorded message starts 'Hi, this is Nicole from the Australian Broadband Network, your internet is about to be disconnected....' I hung up at this stage and have blocked caller. There was the usual long pause before the recording commenced but 'Nicole' had a very convincing middle class 'anglo' accent.

Have also had many 'anonymous out of areas calls these past two days. Have to answer them in case it is friends who have a silent number. All have turned out to be solar panel rebates.
