TRIED TO SAY SECURITY FOR MASTER CARD & VISA

Caller: "Shaun"

Called to say he needed to talk about activity on my Amazon account. I said to hang on while I got the police on the other line, so that I could coordinate the information between them. He hung up.

Did not leave a message, number now blocked

Caller: Said they were from Telstra

Reckon they were from Telstra and my internet ip address is sending them notifications saying its on public not private.

I just called number back and it came up "Suspected Spam" just blocked it.

Caller: Claiming to be Amazon

Calling claiming to be from Amazon. Very noisy background. Said the my Amazon membership had expired and that it £7.99 to renew. When I said I’m in Australia and we use $$, they hung up.

Caller: Gave a name but I didn’t catch it

They rang and said they were from Amazon and someone had used my account to order an iPhone. When I said I hadn’t ordered anything he went on to say that my account was hacked and my data being used fraudulently. That’s when I hung up and blocked the number.

Caller: Unknown

Presumed scam call - no message left on messagebank after call received earlier this afternoon - presumed scam caller considering other messages left on this site. Number blocked.

Scam for sure

Caller: ‘Telstra”

Phoned saying they were Telstra and wanted access to my computer so that they could change settings from public to private so that ‘others’ could not use my internet connection to scam others. Played along for awhile before cutting them off.

Caller: Woman with Indian accent

Said they were from telstra and they were getting repeated errors with my internet. I don't use telstra, so I hung up

Caller: Jason

Claimed to be from Telstra and wanted to connect to determine if "my IP address had been switched from private to public". Well known scam.

Said they were from PayPal, asking if I authorise the last payment. Replied “don’t know what you’re talking about” and they hung up.

Number unknown to me .. phoned and did not leave a message. Based on previous comments likely scam.

This number has called multiple times. Won’t leave a message. When I answer they hang up. When I try to return the call it states “call could not be connected” 100% Scam caller

Has been calling over the last week no messages. Assume spam call and have blocked

Claimed to be "Sean" from "Paypal Security" (struggling to read a script as I doubt they have many people actually answer).

Got call from this number claiming to be from Amazon to approve a transaction (which I did not make). Be aware, they are scammers!
