Caller: Scammer from PayPal

Called saying his name was John and we from PayPal security and that a company was attempting to charge $1500 to my PayPal and that he is going to secure my account for me and stop the charge. He gave me call reference number and told me to write it down an repeat it back to him and gave his ‘employer ID’ number and told me to wrote it down and repeat it back to him. He new my name, email and phone number without me telling him. He said he will send me an email and if I can just check to see if it sent. When I said i got the email he asked for the code in the email to help secure my account. This is when I hung up. The email was in a fact a code to ‘reset my password’. I knew it was a scam from the get go as he was clearly calling from India but said his name was ‘John’. Scary that he knew so many of my details without me saying a word. Obviously my data has been sold somewhere along the way. I immediately put 2FA on my PayPal account afterwards and called PayPal myself to report the scam and emailed them the number the scammer called from. PayPal told me to also block the number on my phone.

Called and left no voicemail. Another call received later similar number (03) 7076 1284 which I answered, sounded like a call centre in the background and caller hung up without speaking. Likely spam.

Call claiming to be from Telstra re my internet service. There was a delay and I don't even use Telstra, obvious scam.

My iphone 15 warned me not to answer the call, saying "warning: suspicious call pattern", so I didn't answer. I'm glad I didn't answer

Was offering me a 40% discount on my monthly bill. Asked for my pin. I did not give it. Scam

Didn't pick up because my phone flagged the scam.

Caller: “John from Vodafone”

Offered a discount on Vodafone. He Hung up when I said I don’t use Vodafone.

The lady stated that she was from Paypal and someone was trying to transfer funds out of my account.

Called, waited and then hung up

Scammer. Claimed to be from Amazon calling about my order for an iPhone. I don't have an Amazon account.

Called but no answer, no voice, sounded like they were in a car

Pretending to be from Vodafone

Caller: Said they were Telstra

Don’t have Telstra internet.
Said my IP address has now become public and need to change it back to private 😂

Caller said they were commonwealth bank. scam call.

Pretends to be calling from "Telstra for the IP". Obvious VOIP scam from overseas.
