Total scam - claimed by IP address was compromised and wanted me to open google so they could get access

Caller: Some Muppet pretending to be from Telstra

The usual suspects. 5 sec delay after pickup, noisy call centre, didn't sound like Tracy from Telstra to me. Couldn't find out what she wanted because she hung up when she couldn't pronounce my name.

Caller: David??

said his name was David and was calling from Mastercard ... I laughed, so he swore ... I told him to f-off and hung up

Total scam. Claimed to be from Telstra Internet. That’s not even a thing. Then went on to tell me my IP has gone from private to public over the last few days.

Considering they couldn’t tell me who they were calling, because you know, they were supposed to be calling the holder of the account, it was clear they were just randomly calling numbers to scam.

Claimed to be from comm bank saying an overseas transaction had happend i asknfor the name on my account they hung up

Fraud, scam, NOT TELSTRA

Multiple calls from phone numbers starting (03) 70- have been calling me. I picked this one up, and they hung up after saying nothing for 5 seconds.

Is this spam?

wanted to help me change my internet settings

Caller: "Telstra"

Woman called claiming to be from Telstra advising me that there were problems with my internet (I hadn't noticed any) and with my private IP address. She hung up when I said I'd check my Telstra app and call Telstra directly.
