No message left - when I attempt to return call - Call fails

This, and similar numbers when I block them, keep calling, with a recorded American-sounding voice from "Visa" about "2 transactions". VERY annoying. Have had the same thing from "Amazon".

This could be spam

Hung up after picked up without saying a word.

Indian accent, saying they’re from Telstra I.T dept. I don’t use Telstra so…dodgy!! Plus my phone company never calls me anyway and if they did it would be very weird!

Caller: ‘Michael from PayPal Security Centre’

Hung up when he said he was from PayPal - scam

Stated they were Telstra and they had "discovered unusual activity from [my] IP Address." Very clearly a scam call but I played along. She then asked if I knew what an IP Address was and I "I do, actually."
And she hung up.

Missed call no message, presumed spam

Didn’t pick up the call. No voicemails left. I read the comments on Reverse Aust. and blocked the number.

They said they were from PayPal, raving on about my IP address - go have a look at myipaddress, they said, you will see it says America and there are 15 or 20 IPs in history. They are all hackers spending you money. They had all my info, including recent purchases, email, mobile. They then urgently forwarded me to my bank. Very convincing, but when it came to sharing my screen I said I would contact the bank and left the call. Spent the whole day suspending cards, PayPal, etc. they managed to change my password.

Indian lady tried to tell me she was from Vodafone billing dept.

Man with heavy Indian accent. Claiming to be from Telstra. I hung up.

Called, no message left, repeated attempts

Caller: Paypal

Someone saying they were from PayPal verifying a purchase. They gave me the wrong email saying that the account is hacked and the email has been changed and they could not see the previous emails (all whilst I was able to log in and see my previous emails). They hung up once I was questioning it and told them I was going to call the PayPal number directly.

Could be scam
When I pick up phone, it’s silent over the headphone.

Indian scammer in call centre told me he is from department of Telstra and that my IP address has been leaked online. Tried to tell me what to do about it. I told him I already know what to do. He hung up fast after that
