Caller: NBN/TPG SCAM VERY SOPHISTICATED BEWARE Said they were from NBN/TPG verifying entitlement to refund because of lack of performance in speeds as advertised in their offer. Referred me to website confirming agreement with Government to refund about $6m to affected customers. Asked me to check the speed of my modem with speedtest ookla which I did, said my speed was too slow and I was entitled to a refund of $554.95. Arranged a visit by an NBN tech Eric Wilson, NBN No NBNMK4649. Said the transfer of funds would not go through to my account, did I have another account with another bank? I declined to give details, and asked them to email me with full details of their proposal. They then hung up.
