Spam call from 'Australian Research Centre' asking you about personal questions. It was a recorded female voice and bad quality. Hang up and block.

I just had the same call.....but ending in "8764"

The phone displayed "Suspected Spam" after the phone automatically blocked the call at 4.12 pm on the 24/6/25 thanks to the “Caller ID and spam protection settings”.
Another scam number is now blocked and reported to https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/report-a-scam

I also received a phone call from this number (03) 7068 8764. When I rang back, it said the number you call is not in the service

When I asked how he got my private, unlisted landline number he said 'it's in the directory'. Yeah, sure mate, more like the autodialer!

I had 4 short burst calls from this number this morning and missed calls on other days from other 03 7068 87xx numbers. I think it's a dialler machine. I wonder who they are and what they're up to.
