My mum had a call from this number and they were very sofisticated in their scam. They managed to con her into thinking that someone else was accessing her IP address and entire phone contents and then had her open her bank accounts while they were on the line and they then had the ability to transfer between her accounts. They also had her download an app called AnyDesk to supposedly help. After some time, she eventually called Telstra herself and discovered it wasn’t them at all. The following day, she still had the App on her phone and within seconds of deleting it she then received a new call from this number!

SCAM. This number is a well-known source of various scam calls. For whatever it's worth: the number is invalid in the Vic dial plan

Scammer pretended I had some kind of fraudulent $500 gift card charge via my eBay account. Asked me to check my phone for a particular app, then directed me to the app store to download another app so they could send a 'one time verification code' so they could stop the eBay charge. I knew it was a scam from the beginning but dragged the call out for a while to see what their game was. As soon as I let on that I knew it was a scam they hung up. Awful, horrendous people.

Scam Alert - Beware of fraudulent calls claiming to be from a Cybersecurity agency. They knew my name and falsely claimed that my number was cloned in the USA. They alleged that it was being used to open fake accounts on Instagram and Tinder, and then proceeded to ask for my IP address. When I sarcastically asked if they also wanted my credit card details, they hesitated. Be cautious and never disclose personal information to such suspicious callers.
