I picked up and like the others that have commented here, no answer, it was like they hung up on me. My guess is it was a call centre and because I answered so quickly, they weren't ready for me so their system hung up.

Caller: ‘Telstra’ Am not living in a remote location and I have a brain, so I’m not with Telstra. Indian sounding guy named Kevin said he had “multiple” reports of problems with my internet connection. Wanted me to turn on my laptop. Had the arrogance to challenge me when I told him he had zero chance of that happening.

Caller wanted to replace my lights with LED. I told the scammer they were replaced a month ago with new LED, this threw him off script and he didnt know how to respond, he hung up.

Caller: Indian Scammer No I am not racist. But I get over a hundred scam callers a month, all with Indian accents. The scum specifically target households with people with disabilities.
It is time for the Telcos to step up to their responsibilities and give us ways to block these sort of callers on mass.
The Do Not Call Register does not work. And you cannot use a answering machine with number blocks because these guys just fake their numbers.

Caller: Scammer Thick Indian accent - stated they were from a company (could not catch the name) claiming to be calling on behalf of the VIC GOV for installing free LED lights.
We constantly get this same call at my workplace, this is the first time this number was used.
