Same here, just got a call, I did receive many calls like this one following my uni research regarding investments, I hit so many calls so frequently it’s unbelievable. The woman calling has Eastern Europe accent is approaching with arrogance saying Dear, it’s not my job to take you of the calls list, you have signed up for this, are you even old enough to be trading, blah blah blah, also called me a bitch when I said she should be ashamed of herself as this is not a job to be proud of and leaving home country for.
Anyways ongoing crap..
Later found out that my phone (iPhone) was hacked in and a scammer created himself as one of my emails and email settings have contacts so god knows how far and wide this is spreading. Also email account has my name as “traffic” to add to the creepy calls they stalk your socials and tell you what they see on social media about you. So fkd up be careful guys!

Caller: Some rude lady from the 'Monitoring Department' re: my apparent bitcoin investments

Received a call from the Monitoring Department from a woman saying something about activity on my account which turned out to be some type of Bitcoin Investing, which btw I've never invested nor searched investing in bitcoin. I said "Oh really, another one" as I'd just received one 12mins prior from a very rude, arrogant, threatening male bur that's another storey or review. This woman when I questioned the legitimacy of the call & the so called business with a slightly raised annoyed voice she started carrying on saying 'How old are you, why are you questioning I'm trying to help' etc etc I said 'Take me off your calling list & don't call again & that I will be reporting the number to the ACMA & ACCC. She hung up. Honestly, wish there was more that could be done but as the numbers are usually manipulated I don't think there is any real way to track it & find the people behind it...
