Scam call from PayPal saying there was a debt, and to contact them.

Pretending to be Paypal. Auto message left that said something along the lines of "thanks for using Paypal. We have received a request for $299 that amount will be debited from your account" and then said I could call back the number if the transaction wasn't recognised/approved.

Voice mail message, supposedly from PayPal, reporting a purchase request for $299.39. Obviously a scam.

Caller: Scam Scammers saying i bought a gift card for $299. Wanted personal details, so of course I gave them false details and kept them on the phone as long as possible

Caller: Saying from PayPal 2nd call supposedly from PayPal left message advising of purchase and to call them if I wished to cancel. Have previously contacted PayPal to check if there was an account in my name,. Confirmed no account. Block.
