Spam caller pretending to be from Telstra

I didn’t answer for 2 sec and then said my name. They hung up immediately. Total scam.

Caller: I don't know

Scam caller pretending to be Optus Sydney. Knew immediately they were lying and hung up.

When I see numbers like this on my work phone I'm reluctant to pick up but really need to. I answered this one but didn't say anything 2 seconds later they hung up.

recommendation: don't bother answering

Young indian guy claimed to be from NBN and that they were laying new cables in the area and needed me to be available in 2 days, when I asked why I needed to be available, he said as they need to install 'new software' on all of our devices so that the 'new internet' would work on them. When I told him that wasn't true, he said it was, when I said that this is a scam and he needs to stop calling people with this, he said it isn't a scam and hung up. Total scam

Someone claiming to be from NBN Technical Department -Scam Call!

Caller: Patrick Robert-PayPal

Scam call, regarding breach of PayPal account. I was being hacked to purchase Bitcoin.. Hung up blocked number.

Caller: Sam from Amazon

Scam number clearly... said he was Sam from Amazon and asked for me by my maiden name....... when I said WHO? he hung up real quick..... Amazon wouldnt even know my maiden name lol

Caller pretending from NBN, asking me to do a speed test as my connection has been fluctuating.

Beware of this unlisted number as it is almost certainly yet another spoofed number being used by cyber criminals. As this number was not recognised it was left to ring out with no message being recorded on completion. Accordingly, the above number has been blocked and reported.

Said she was from Optus and that I was eligible for a 40% discount. I told her I wasn’t interested and hung up

Received a credit card scam call from this number at 9.40am on 3 April 2023. It was a recorded message informing I had an online shopping payment requiring my authorisation. I was asked to respond by pressing a number to authorise or decline authorisation.
