Caller: Scammer

Scammer pretending to be Amazon saying that someone bought a phone using my account and she would show me how to cancel the order. Can't they do that from their end? I have two-factor authentication to log on to my account and I never received a code when the alleged purchaser tried to use my account. While she was talking, I logged on and there were no unauthorized purchases on my account. I bet the order cancellation process is when they try to scam personal details. She asked me if I have an iPhone or an Android and I asked her why this matters.

Didn’t leave a message.

Claimed to be from Telstra, despite me not having a Telstra account. Somehow knew my last name. When I said I didn't understand why she was calling, she hung up on me

Caller: Someone claiming to be from Amazon

Asked if I had ordered an iPhone, and if my family members used my account. Said she would cancel that for me as it was a fraudulent purchase. She had my email address but it was not the right email address for that account. Then she hung up on me.
