Caller: Some energy comarison coy

Received cold call from a energy comaparrison company ( so they say ) regarding energy costs increase and wanting to compare offers ,
Asked them who is my provider , answer : we dont know until we look up the Government Portal
She said she is authorised to call by all the main energy providers AGL , Alinta , Red etc

If they are authorised shouldnt they already know who my provider is ?

Had a call like this a week ago and rang my provider they said it wasnt authorised by them
SCAM. Number blocked and deleted

Called me at 18.45. I did not answer. Blocked my number and called it back. Told by message that this was a special offer, and I had to call back when they are open......before 17:00 Unwanted sales rubbish
