Caller: Cyber Security. (Allegedly)

I have had a number of calls from this and similar numbers, over the past few months. They call mainly from Victorian numbers, area code 03, plus a few NSW numbers (02) all from the same alleged or connected company. Their repeated calls from a variety of numbers from both area codes all build upon previous interactions in an attempt to draw one into their scam. This is usually built around the premise of unclaimed investment funds being identified as owing to you. The particular scam they tried on me revolved around cryptocurrencies, which I know for a fact I have never, and would never, invest in. They won't take no for an answer, pretending to be recovery agents, wanting to restore lost funds to their rightful owner. Each time their scam is pulled apart they call later with a revised version of the incident. From initially suggesting I had forgotten the initial investment, eventually this evolved to the scam of an unauthorized company or other scammer illegally using my name, but - the catch they try is because it is in my name they claim me to be the legal owner in the eyes of the law, and they just want to release the funds to the legal owner. They play upon people's needs, particularly in times when many may be finanncially in need or they play on people's susceptibility to greed. Neither of which work on me. Even after telling them I had reported them to scamwatch and AFP including any and all information from phone numbers they had called from, to forwarding all of their emails to scamwatch for distribution to other authorities, they still have not stopped calling me. I block every number but eventually a new one will come through. The bait is always some ridiculous amount of money in the thousands of dollars. The calls are recorder at their end, enabling them to build their case upon whatever conversation has taken place, attempting to influence and "groom" the person they continue to call, even after one has demanded they stop calling, and have made it clear one is not now, and never will be, interested in their claims. They have likely accessed some personal information from past data breaches, as they had my name, mobile number, and one email address without me providing any information. I have reported them multiple times, feeding all information on to authorities.. I continue to forward information to scamwatch for investigation by the appropriate authorities.
