Called advising I had touched base about changing my Companies Electricity supplier. I am not an authorised person to do this and did not reach out to them. This was an unsolicited call.

Caller: Origin Energy, supposedly

A bloke named Steven with a thick Indian accent called me on a Friday at the office regarding our current energy rates and that they could do a better deal, as well as offer a $700 credit! We have 3 offices and they were going to offer the credit to each of our accounts, as well as lower rates than what we are currently on. Too good to be true!! The clincher was when he told me that they were going to call me back to go through the deal but I had to pretend that we'd never spoken before. Dodgy much!! He called back 10 minutes later and I told him I was uncomfortable with proceeding. I told him that I would call Origin Energy on their normal line to ask for a better rate and he started to get quite defensive and loud, assuring me that it wasn't at all dodgy. I tried a number of times to try and end the call and he was getting more aggressive so I hung up on him. Since then, 2 business days later, he has tried to call 6 times but I have ignored all calls.
