I received a call from this number during my absence. No message recorded. Not at all surprised to see the number listed here with a warning! Glad this site exists to give an indication of the numbers scammers are utilising

Caller type: Call centre

Has called me a number of times over recent days - three and a half rings then hangs up. They mistakenly stayed on line today and my message bank recorded what was clearly a call centre. Have not called the number back.

Female voice, pre-recorded, saying she was from Mastercard Visa Security and there had been two charges on my credit card. I hung up at that point because I have had this same call (same voice, same message) before, but from a different phone number, and of course Visa and Mastercard are not run by the same company. SCAM !!

Caller: said it was Ebay

Has a call(on my work mobile ph, not personal) with automated message saying my credit card had been charged for a new Iphone 15, if it wasn't me who placed the order wait on the liine. Got a lady who said it was for a Carla someone (not me or anyone I know). I asked which card was charged, she said couldn't give that info, but then said it was a Mastercard, which i have but there is no charge on it. She said have I shared my password with anyone. A long time ago I opened up an Ebay account, but never used it and wouldn't have a clue what my password is. I asked what the last 4 numbers were for the credit card, and then the call ended. She sounded legit, but pretty sure this is a scam. Also, the number I would have used for the Ebay account is my personal ph, and they called my work phone., so quite certain it's a scam.
