Another autocall saying they are from Visa. Blocked number

My phone does not ring unless you are in my phonebook. They called twice. Looked this up and it is a scam. Why are Australian Telcos not stopping this sort of thing? Oh of course : Because they don't care.

Automated voice claiming to be Visa. Claiming 2 transactions on my Visa card.... I don't have one.

Called twice in two days. Didn't pick up the calls. And they did not leave any message.

Or… because it’s significantly easier said than done. Telcos don’t exactly benefit from people getting scammed. In fact, it makes their job harder because even their own salespeople can’t expect customers to trust them.

Scam call with false Melbourne origin. These known scam calls should be blocked by telecom companies to spare their customers abandoning the use of mobile phones.

Automated message saying there were 2 transactions on my visa $350 and another from eBay $1350.

Called work mobile. Automated voice message from "Visa" claiming that there were two unauthorised transactions on my account... I do not have a account.

No voice mail. When tried calling back unable to connect due to temporary service disruption.

Rang 12th June 23 at 13:51. Didn't answer. No voice message left.

Trying to find out visa information, 2nd call I’ve had in a few days. I just hang up and now have blocked number.

Caller: I don’t know

Don’t know caller number. No message left. Assume scam

Caller: Claimed to be from visa/Mastercard department at Amazon?

Said there was a $500 charge on my visa or Mastercard from Amazon and to click 1 to claim my refund. Obviously didn’t do that because it’s 100% a scam.

No voicemail left but when I called back, it said number was temporarily unavailable due to service difficulties?

Probably a scam call. Didn’t pick up
