Didn't answer but seeing they seem to have just secured this number (see previous report, also today), think it's safe to assume it's a scam. Why the hell do telcos give scammers Australian phone numbers? As they've enabled the scam, they should be responsible for losses suffered by Australian citizens.

People, if you don't recognise the number, don't answer it and then, if they don't leave a message, google the number. Then add your experience to all the scam call websites, like this one. If enough people do this, the scammer's whole business model falls apart.

automated voice from gmail saying my email was being used by someone else and to push 1 to find out more...yeah sure!

Same here, rang but didn't leave a message. Machine hung up when I returned call.

Some robot saying I owed money to ebay and some other website. Don't even use ebay! Wanted me to press whatever number to enter my credit card details... yeah nah!!!

Answered and automated voice saying there were suspicious activities on my visa.
Don't even have visa - hung up!

Automated voice saying it was VISA Aust my account had been debited 300 and 100 by Ebay. I've never used Ebay definitely a scammer block immediately
