Caller: Possibly iiNet

The calls about email services closing down are legitimate. iiNet is one that is closing it's email service for subscribers and I get regular reminder emails. They seem to be contacting everyone by whatever means they can, as many subscribers will have not updated their contact details. I think every ISP except Telstra is closing their subscriber-based email feature.

Calling to see if we received the email saying they are closing their hosting service.

called me 5 times last week once per day, i never answered

Didn't answer the call as my phone identified it as possible spam. Caller did not leave a message.

Another non existent number range has emerged as a spam caller

I seem to get calls from (03) 7039 xxxx at 07:30, they never leave a message.

Caller: Someone claiming to be from Westnet

Caller claimed to be calling about my Westnet email. I no longer have Westnet email as THEY CANCELLED IT months ago. Of course, on the other hand, since Westnet were taken over by TPG they have become so incompetent it could have been a genuine call and they simply haven't realised that I haven't been a customer for quite some time. Given the massive volume of Westnet-based scams doing the rounds on email, I decided to err on the side of caution and asked them nicely to go away so they did.
