Caller: Westpac complaints team

Scott left me a message regarding one of the complaints I had logged. I called Westpac to check if Scott is a Westpac staff member or just a scammer. The Westpac staff confirmed that Scott is a member of the complaints team and have made a note of this on my file.

Caller: Supposedly Scott from Westpac

Similar to postings already here - polite, said from Westpac following up on my complaint (and which in fact had been resolved approx 10 days previously). Said he would ring again tomorrow. I tried returning the call thinking it was genuine and it rang many many times, no answer so i hung up. Will see what happens tomorrow.

Caller: Scott from westpac scam

Very polte well mannered professional but a scam, claims to be from westpac returning my enquiry about accessing my account, I'm not with westpac

Caller: Maybe westpac, maybe a good scammer!

Left a msg claiming to be "Scott" from westpac customer care calling about concerns raised with the bank. Male voice, Australian accent. Number noted to be in Launceston, Tasmania.

I didn't answer the call but I saw an email from Westpac complaints which had this number.

Supposedly from Launceston, Tasmania - I don't know anyone there and haven't ordered anything from a company or individual based there. A few rings on the mobile and then stopped. No message left so I imagine it was a scammer.
