Caller type: Unsolicited call
Location: Australia
Caller: Male person

The caller said his name was Raymond and that he was calling on behalf of a health care service for seniors. He asked questions about medication and exercise and seemed well-informed about seniors’ health issues. At the end of the call, he recommended Omega 7 tablets and wanted to set up an order. I declined and told him I have had many scam calls recently and didn’t want to place an order, but would mention Omega 7 to my GP. I then ended the call. I suspect it was a scam, possibly with regard to the sales of tablets, but also the risk of providing financial information.

This call showed as coming from Ulverstone, Tasmania. When I answered a male person with an Indian accent told me that his name was Geoffrey and that he was calling on behalf of some seniors health group. I told him that I had received similar calls previously and wasn't interested, then terminated the call. I strongly suspect it was an attempted scam.
