I called this number and there was a lot of fumbling, then a lady with Asian accent answered and hung up on me

I asked how he got my number and he said the company bought it but he insisted he wasn’t ‘cold calling’ me but I said you just bought my phone number then called me? That’s cold calling. I told him to take my number off his list and don’t call me again. He then hung up on me
