A poorly recorded message saying they are from eBay and I have made a purchase request of $299.99 which will be debited from my account unless I call a certain number and press 1. eBay do not have account information for me so they won’t be debiting anything.

Caller: Someone claiming to be from Ebay Male with an Indian accent claiming to be from Ebay telling me fraudulent activity had taken place on my Ebay account for the purchase of Apple giftcards costing $299.00 and the only way to cancel the transaction was to fill out a claim form which they sent to me. The form (which I looked at) asked for credit card number, expiry date, CVV number etc. Definitely a scam, but they were extremely convincing up until that point.
