The same has happened for me. I blocked three Melbourne numbers and now I get calls from Hobart.

Caller: Brands of choice Annoying woman with thick Indian accent saying I've been selected to be in the running to win money etc. And that she had my number as I ebtered a competition online. I kept saying I never entered any online competition. She finally just hung up.
