Got a voice mail about having to call this number back or there will be legal action. Then when I tried to call back was told this number was not in service

Scammers claiming to be ATO , wanted me to buy gifts cards , and said I would be arrested immediately if I didn’t.

This number left a digital message saying I had to call back urgently before they take legal action. I couldn't understand the first bit so don't know who they were but am assuming it is a scammer.

I got the same message when I picked up the call. Sounds like computer automated voice. Not real.

Got a call from Deputy Leeroy Jones! ( Baddest man in the whole damn town!) from the Tax Crime Investigations Unit for the ATO and Federal Police

Automated message from the Taxation Office. Extremely crackly. Hung up before I listened to the entire message. Definite scam

I also receive this call number asking for personal detail claiming to be from the taxation office. I ask them is this a telemarking call and they said yes, then retracted then claiming to be from the taxation office. i ask for more detail, they hang up.

My colleague just got a call from this number too and got a message saying that she owed money to the ATO. Sounds like a massive scam as she called the ATO directly and they didn't know anything about it.
