This number is the one which says you must call the ATO or you will be arrested. Have had 3 calls today.

.Scammers have recently been calling Australians telling them that there is a warrant out for their arrest. Many people have reported to SCAMwatch that messages have been recorded on their answering machines asking them to call back later. One of the telephone numbers provided is (02) 6100 3027, among many others. obviously this in another number.

Yes, got a call on my answering machine too. My concern is for the vulnerable elderly people out there. How do we report this to the authorities, does anyone know?

Same as above. This is the fourth time these people have rung me. What can be done to catch/stop them?

I am getting continually similar messages like Carol, and others. It is annoying and dont know where to complaint about them. these people must be caught and punished.

These people are calling and harrassing lots of my friends. They are very intimidating with the scare tactics. Threats of being taken to jail and that they'd be prosecuted.. With the authorities would put something in place to stop these a*holes!!!

Received same Tax Office call to ring number and so I did after the receiver said that this is the Australian Tax Office, I said that this call is being monitored for training and reporting I was pleaded to not do this and then they hung up.

Just got this on my answering machine. Nikki Johnson from ATO saying that I have an urgent taxation issue which they are going to take action against. Finishing with 'take care'.

Just got a message left on my phone claiming to be from tax office and to call back immediately before they take any action against me.. Then ended with "take care". I hate these bastards. I will take their advice and "take care" and ignore them and warn others of this total scam... Got a similar call on different number last week saying they may arrest me then ended with "have a wonderful day".

Yes got a threatening message from this number this morning. Rang back and they said they were from ato. I then asked for his name so I could include it In my report of fraud with the police he hung up!! Who would have thought it lol.

Feel for the vulnerable people who these scammers prey on.
