This number has rang three times today claiming to be the ATO. They are claiming we have a debt and a warrant for our arrest will be issued. They want urgent contact so the debt can be repaid and to avoid the issue of a warrant. It is a SCAM.

This number is calling my 88 yr old recently bereaved Mum, threatening all kinds of things. DISGRACEFUL !!! A total scam.

Caller claimed to act on behalf of the ATO claiming unpaid tax, didn't identify himself. Difficult to follow his accent. Threatens with legal action against you and your property.

Called our business 7 times between 4.13pm and 7.33pm, answered one call and I didn't say anything so they hung up. My colleague answered and the caller didn't identify himself, threatened with surveillance and unspecified action on "your" property.

I hung up when there was a delayed response followed by an Indian accent. These scum couldn’t care less if you are a 88 year old bereaved mum or terminally ill with cancer. If you have a bank account they want its contents. Thanks for your comments. I've blocked the number.

Totally agree Charles, it's an 03 number which is Victoria. The telco's, as far as I am concerned, are playing their part in these scams by allowing thieves to use their services in order to scam innocent victims. And as long as people keep falling for it, it will continue. When these phone numbers are reported, there accounts should be shut down. It's the only way to stop them by not letting them have a carrier service in the first place.

Me too, didn't believe a word of it. 3rd. time they've tried to scam me, bit more sophisticated this time, didn't have an indian accent.

Got a call from this number saying that a warrant for my arrest and seizure of my property have been issued and that my phone line and property are under serveilance. WTF ??

Returned the call and got a convincing man who called himself James - checked with ATO, definitely a scam

Absolutely a scam. Idiots rang my father, when I returned their call claimed to be 'taxation headquarters'
Claimed to be 'mr Anderson' was very abusive when asked simple questions . Scum

Call 1 - put on hold
Call 2 - rejected call
Call 3 - rejected call
Call 4 - picked up, listened to my barrage of questions then they ended the call.
Call 5 - picked up then ended the call.
Further calls would not answer.

Got 2 calls today and when back were rude when asked about which department of tax department just hung up, how can people do this to each other
